Welcome to DJ Terrys Web Site
I first came to London back in
the 1980s with a band called STOUT who were three lads from Kildare Robertstown and Celbridge. Donal, Mike and
me, We had a hit with O LORD ITS HARD TO BE HUMBLE which went to number 8 in the charts in IRELAND. We played pubs
and clubs all over London- New York - Florida. I loved the London scene so decided to stay here. I met up with
Sheamus Moore and joined his band for a while and I also done some gigs with Margo - Chuck and June. I then
met up with Timmy Sullivan and Jimmy Mullally and formed a band called THE LIFFEY MEN. We played clubs and pubs
in London and the home Counties.
I then met up with a band called Y.B.SOBER who were looking for a drummer.
They ask me to go with them to Knock in IRELAND to play at a wedding. That was the start of a great band .Y.B.SOBER won
best IRISH band in London two years in a row. We made a CD which went to number 1 on Irish Radio in London. The band was
flown to ABU DHABI and Dubai Twice a year to entertain the IRISH out in Middle east. We also played all the Irish
Festivals in England and played in the swan in stockwell every sunday for seven years .Then Y.B.SOBER decided to call it a
day and split in 2000.
